This sweet set for baby was inspired by the waves of the sea at Scapa Flow in Orkney.
(And the need to knit a matching set for a soon to be born grandchild!)

Knitted in a soft baby double knitting yarn, the set includes a cardigan, blanket, hat and mittens.
And each has a simple (no cables) pattern section reminiscent of the waves
Shell shaped buttons on the cardigan complete the sea theme

This is an easy and quick knit for baby.
All are knitted on straight knitting pins (3.25 mm & 4 mm) and there is minimal sewing up to do -
The cardigan is knitted in one piece until you join in the sleeves, and then you continue in one piece for the decrease/raglan section.

Sizes - 0-3 months & 3-6 months

Yarn required:
Double Knitting yarn, 50 g balls
Cardigan – 3 (4) balls, Hat - 1 ball, Mitts – 1 ball, Blanket – 5 balls
Set – 8 (9) balls
