This sweet set for baby was inspired by the waves of the sea at Scapa Flow in Orkney.
(And the need to knit a matching set for a soon to be born grandchild!)

Knitted in a soft baby double knitting yarn, the set includes a cardigan, blanket, hat and mittens.
And each has a simple (no cables) pattern section reminiscent of the waves
Shell shaped buttons on the cardigan complete the sea theme
This is an easy and quick knit for baby.
Sizes - 0-3 months & 3-6 months
Knitted on straight knitting pins (3.25 mm & 4 mm) and there is minimal sewing up - The cardigan is knitted in one piece until you join in the sleeves, and then you continue in one piece for the decrease/raglan section.

Yarn required:
Double Knitting yarn, 50 g balls
Cardigan – 3 (4) balls, Hat - 1 ball, Mitts – 1 ball, Blanket – 5 balls
Set – 8 (9) balls
