The Carnoustie Cowl

This cowl is named after a town on the North East Coast of Scotland where I holidayed as a child. We called it 'Noustie'. The town has a wonderful sandy beach for playing on in the sunshine or for leisurely walks, with or without a dog.

Using only 4 balls of the beautifully soft Baby Cashmerino yarn by Debbie Bliss, this cowl is a pleasure to knit as the interlocking leaf pattern is easy to work and memorise. No complicated stitches.
The finished cowl is warm and comfy to wear.
I like it quite close fitting to my neck but if you want a looser fitting cowl you can repeat the pattern a couple of times - just needs an extra ball of yarn.

The pattern uses size 3.25 mm needles.
