This knitting pattern is a simple design, suitable for beginner knitters.
Worked using aran weight yarn and 5 mm needles, knit stitch only, picking up stitches.
Knitted as a Blankie/comforter for baby or child - approx finished size 53 cm x 53 cm
Either use 7 shades of 100g balls of aran yarn or knit using random leftover aran yarn from your stash. Total weight of Blankie approx 300g. Makes a good dolls blanket too.
You can create a full sized blanket by simply adding more garter stitch strips of colour.
