The STRUIE SWEATER - A Wee Window Design

This listing is for a digital download of the knitting pattern for the Struie Sweater.
So you can download it and start knitting straight away...

This children’s sweater is a tribute to the one worn by a character called Katie Morag in a charming children’s story set on a Scottish Island. I just had to design one for my grand-daughters!
And named it after a real place in Scotland called Struie.
The sweater is worked on circular needles so (apart from the rib at welt, cuffs and neck) is knit stitch only.

The photo shows it knitted up in a DK pure wool yarn.
The Croft DK by West Yorkshire Spinners, which comes in 100g hanks and is a lovely yarn to knit with.

Sizes for children age 2 - 7 years

You will need 3.25 mm & 4 mm circular knitting needles
A set of double ended 3.25 mm needles for the cuffs
A stitch marker
4 small stitch holders

The yoke is the most challenging part of the pattern, worked by Intarsia to avoid stranding the contrast yarn across the back of the work.
